Dear editor, Bahamians are not as blind deaf or stupid as the PLP thinks. We know they need to go. But who we are replacing them with is equally as scary - a Minnis-led administration. A man who in my opinion does not have a Plan for our country and who cannot lead even by his words. A man who hides behind press releases and has to rely on Hubert Alexander ingraham to do all his talking and win an election for him. Yeah, sure, Christie and his crew need to go but to replace them with another incompetent fool? Guess it's a case of dam if you do and dam if you don't. I don't know. I guess we're screwed either way.

Flying Fred just wants to keep flying. He's panicking now because he knows the PLP's days are numbered. Hopefully your $1 million per annum budget to keep flying will end in May 10th!

He can only compliment him on his good business sense. He doesn't have anything else going for him. That's why he hides behind press releases. I'm just curious to know what Minnis will do if they win. How will he keep hiding. When they stick a mike in his face, which is part and parcel to being PM, what will he do when there's no Ingraham to hide behind?

You can run, but ya can't hide - forever.

I think the whole idea was to call election BEFORE his contract expired (I'm guessing within the first few days of May) because they wanted him there. That plan had a monkey wrench thrown in it when they realised that Carnival was clashing with the election date. The outcry to leave the Carnival dates alone is why the Election is now set for May 10th and Hall's time has expired. God don't sleep!

jackbnimble says...

I thought ingraham tell Perry not to leave hall in charge after he screw up the referendum. Child at this rate we ain't ga know who win the election til Thursday afternoon next week - if we lucky.

Boy Shame really ain't gat no shame.

Each constituency is allowed a budget of $250,000 per annum to use on projects and maintenance, etc. Does Shame actually expect us to believe he spent his own kickback money? Probably just use up his constituency's allowance and pocketed the kickbacks.

jackbnimble says...

Interesting that the chairman of the PLP all about trying to air the dutty laundry of the FNM candidates while he his party leader remain mum on the firzgerald and shame scandals. So what are we as voters to do? Reject the FNM candidates and allow Fitzgerald, Shame and the rest a yinna to get back in office to continue begging teifin' and cutting deals under the table? You are both just different sides of the same damned coin and both sides are pathetic!

jackbnimble says...

Wow. Poor infrastructure? And he didn't know this before he took the poor people's money?

They 'messed up and the Bahamas is to blame? Unreal!

jackbnimble says...

@birdie: so because an insurance contract was unfairly awarded in 2012 to the family member of a sitting cabinet minister who did not bid on it, this doesn't make it right to expose it in 2017?

The people who support this nonsense normally fall in two categories: 1. They get kickbacks from their party when it's in power so as far as they are concerned once me and mine get ours, we good or 2. They follow the party blindly because it's just what they do and it never occurs to them that they're being used to facilitate the lifestyle of a chosen few who just can't get enough of a very sweet cookie jar. Mind you, they een gettin' nuttin for their trouble (most still broke busted and totally disgusted) but their ignorance is bliss to the powers that be who work to keep the majority that way.

jackbnimble says...

Lord what next? Did his cat and dog also get a contract?

I really believe these gangsters (with the Prime Minister at the helm) made a pact to "protect and serve" each other - not the Bahamian people. Hence you gat Fitzgerald helping Gibson (Allyson), Gibson not prosecuting Gray; Shame helping Fitzgerald, etc. and the PM and nobody talking.

Keep silent! The Bahamian people will speak on May 10!
