His statement sound political. I won't be surprised if he is waving a yellow banner and offering himself to 'serve' a constituency in Grand Bahama in the upcoming election!

@moncurcool... and the ethics moral and willingness to criticize his government for decisions made when HE was Minister of Health and while he is still a sitting MP! What an upstanding example of Westminster etiquette !

The Bahamas is worse off under Minnis and its not because of Dorian or COVID, but because he is insecure, incompetent, visionless, unable to communicate and uninspiring as a leader!

I only have one vote but I refuse to cast it for 'Brave Davis", Minnis or Sands if he becomes party leader (as certain deep pocket businessmen want him to be)!

Gawd, deliver me from this nightmarish cycle of having to choose six of one or half a dozen of the other!!

Does Dames even understand that these "numbers" are peoples deceased relatives and loved ones? Does he understand that for that reason alone it should be focused on?

Issues that arose at Arawak are actually the governments fault because of their poor planning abilities. All they had to do was contact the stall owners and give them a schedule to open every alternate stall for a fixed number of hours . For example, odd numbered stalls open from 8 am-2 pm and even numbered stalls opened from 3-8 pm and have them enforce the mask policy for patrons. Same could have been applied to Potters Cay and Montague weeks ago instead they have people suffering needlessly!

If we took the time to raise our children in structured environments and taught them the values they need to be productive, respectful individuals, the need for policing would be significantly reduced. Policing should be a response to social problems but because of the poor job that has been done producing sensible individuals in this society we have given power to dysfunctional persons and act surprised when they abuse it!

Sands has nothing to offer this country as a politician, we have enough of them just like him. He would do a far greater service to this country providing his medical services to those least able to afford it.

The governments hurricane plan is "errybody pack up and leave". What if its a hurricane that comes right up the island chain? Where will people evacuate to then?

I have no confidence in any plans formulated by the government. From now on I think the office of the prime minister should keep an open line for suggestions from the general public for ALL major decisions they intend to make; only then some common sense suggestions may get through that won't break the bank or enrich cronies!
