The government has yet to explain HOW the virus got into the island and refuses to offer this information! ! Nobody travelled etc., but yet the virus shows up?Things that make you go ummm! So of course there are more infections there!
.. the government foolishly encourage flights into the islands AFTER the virus was confirmed in Nassau. That was dangerously stupid. Once those islands had no flights or boats going into them they would have no concerns about infections spontaneously arising and people would have been free to move around freely as they chose! Too little, too late!!
People forget the incompetence Minnis displayed as Minister of Health during the dengue chikungunya virus debacle that caused many deaths in 2011, so I don't know why they expect stellar leadership at this time!
The short memories of Bahamians is what all politicians rely on!
In addition, what else does her family believe they are deserving of? She knowingly went to a Covid-19 zone and got infected. She then developed symptoms while she had asthma and declined rapidly, as people with this virus do. Blaming others for her decision and the consequences of traveling does not change the outcome!
… actually, no. 80% may have no symptoms or mild symptoms. 20% may have more pronounced symptoms and of that 20%, 5% will develop symptoms that may require hospitalization. The rapid rate at which lung function declines in persons with severe problems require supportive care which is unlikely to involve pain meds since people will be unconscious. Not being able to breath properly usually affects the brain!
Actually, so far, government has saved no one! And that's a fact, but they have ways to cover up their incompetence and control the flow of information!
I have accepted the fact that incompetents are running this country and if I lower my expectations enough, I won't continue to be disappointed!
