the virus has spread to 19 countries in a very short time. Ability to confirm cases is difficult because of the long incubation period of two weeks, which means the total number of cases is expected to increase in the following weeks. Our open borders and increases in Chinese travelers should have us on high alert, which we are not. That is cause for concern!
A non medical person with common sense would have known that the virus reaching here was a reality and would have taken necessary steps to have prevented or minimized the possibility of it happening. Things Sands in his capacity did not do!
I was on Amazon last night looking at N95 masks to purchase and suggest others consider doing the same. Its better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them!
The author is correct. Grocery stores are the only business where our goods are not packaged to allow you to leave their stores and it creates an unnecessary inconvenience for customers. I constantly see people leave stores with 1 or 2 items in hand, unbagged, because they may have forgotten to bring their 'reusable' bag to stores and the stores do not provide a small bag for small items. It is ridiculous!
... while simultaneously we are allowing the entrance of low skilled uneducated immigrants to enter low paying jobs at the lower end while educated expats occupy higher paying jobs at the top. The ever shrinking Bahamian middle class just keeps getting squeezed in the middle!
Nothing works properly when managed by Bahamians especially when betting is involved (yes people gamble on Junkanoo). It may be time to outsource the tallying of Junkanoo results!
I hope to God I never have to rely on government rendering me assistance in any capacity at any time ever, either locally of if I am abroad! The whole lot of them are dimwits!
I guess he doesn't know that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

One can only wonder if the mutation in this virus was natural or man made.
