… what about that part about a man not lying with a man as he does with a woman or are we just cherry picking here? A person is not judging when stating what God has already judged.
ALL sexual activity or the lack thereof is by choice, celibacy, monogamy, polyamorous, bisexual etc. No one can claim a defense of not being able to control themselves. which is why rape is a criminal offense! And no one has to act on compulsive thoughts or feelings, to do so is to exercise a CHOICE!!
"*Homosexuality has been around for thousands of years. In one of the first great civilisation the Greeks (way before Christ) it was accepted and not frowned upon or criminalised. In essence it ain’t going away."*
It was around long before that from the time of Sodom, but does that make it right considering slavery, pedophilia and public orgies were also prominent in ancient Greek society?
The real question is, based on the fact that all of our social ills stem from dysfunctional homes where moral and character training are absent, will homosexuality or any aspect of the LGBT agenda add anything to improve our sad social state? I would wager a bet in the negative!
It is sad that people seem to miss the fact that the focus should be on how deranged our society is. Laws and police presence don't matter when you have a society of sensible decent people who understand boundaries! We have to focus on building such a society again, we had it once!
Its not that the gov't NEEDs to borrow as much as it is the gov't WANTS to borrow. How much has government collected from VAT this year by the way and how have those funds been spent??
If the government was serious about stemming the tide of immigration they would have spent 2 million to buy to used helicopters to aid in hurricane recovery and to protect our southern borders. They would have invested in drones to monitor our southern passage. They would have invested in technology to fingerprint these immigrants and they would have changed laws to insure those who enter illegally could never have residency, work permits and everything else. They have not so I get the message! Instead they spend $5 million on CCTV cameras, $6 million on temporary shelters and$ 9.6 million on a bridge in Andros! They show where their priorities are by how they spend!
I understood his premise to be that when someone steps into a humanitarian disaster as Samaritans Purse did, for our benefit, it may be unwise to cast aspersions on the leader of that organization, and I agree with him. Personally, I couldn't blame them if they opted not to help us out again if we may need them. Considering hurricane season is an annual event, and we may find ourselves needing their help again, some wisdom and self restraint might have been a better move!
Mr Evans, I agree with your premise. Samaritans Purse has, arguably, done far more than the government for Grand Bahamians in the aftermath of Dorian. They never had to commit to coming in the first place.
