When what objective reality and science says is contradicted by what a person feels, commonsense demands that we follow the objective evidence. In spite of how a person feels if objective testing shows your blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar are high, then your feelings are disregarded in the face of the evidence. If a biopsy shows cancer, your feelings are irrelevant! That is what is done in all other areas of life, why should this guy be treated any different?
... Darville is not to blame for this one! The entrenched apathy, laziness and lack of regard for human life that is so evident in Bahamian society is also in the hospital! Doctors want to have a quota on how many patient they see; there are limitations in resources etc. PMH is just one place where our larger societal problems can be more easily seen!

... the issue here is that she made a public statement about things that are visible to the public. Anyone entering certain areas of the hospital can see the deterioration and lack of maintenance that puts people at risk. Had she disclosed something private, that would be another matter, but the PHA overstepped their authority in demanding that she not travel. Who do they think they are, a Supreme court judge?
... the nurse said nothing that patients do not see. There would be no problem if the government simply maintained our primary hospital. This is an indictment on those who are paid by the public purse allow a healthcare institution to fall into disrepair while still giving "*service*" to the public!
