Say it is 3,000 trees. That's $333 per tree. Also, our native key limes (not the Persian limes sold in food stores) come true from seed. Nobody needed to buy anything at all...just plant some seeds and wait. Or better yet, grow some delicious sour oranges!

Okay, here's the thing. California has a Mediterranean climate, tailored to lemons, which they grow. Limes flourish in subtropical, humid climates - like South Florida, Mexico and the Bahamas. Any lime variety best suited to California would probably be a terrible choice for the Bahamas.

This is absolutely true. I have been on one of these live-aboard dive boats operating out of the Harbour Club with a foreign crew. They have their own moorings (or they are using nat'l trust moorings). I was baffled how an American outfit was blatantly working in Bahamian waters. If they were fishermen they would be arrested. They are profiting from our natural resources and virtually none of the revenue stays in the country.

Meriting claims in the Punch with the threat of legal action seems to validate them to me, not the other way around...

This may be the only point Mr. Mitchell and I agree on, but I am glad that someone is campaigning for basic human rights for all Bahamians.
