Don't eat conch (or ANY other shellfish) in summer.
They really should ban selling conch salad in summer, the water gets too hot and bacteria thrives.
Conch salad in-particular is susceptible to bacterial growth because of the added Raw salad ingredients.
Anyone with a weak immune system or anyone who values their kidneys (yes that is all of us!) should stay away from all conch in hot summer months. (Raw and cooked)

FFS are we insane!!?? Have you seen the state of Clifton Piers power plant? We cant maintain a simple power plant never mind a deadly gas and explosive product like LNG!!! Plus BEC / BPL it sits exposed to the elements, ravaged by hurricanes, its an environmental mess, leaking oil into the sea and it has not been fixed in decades!
An LNG plant by the corrosive sea air...this is just asking for trouble, beyond Stupid on all levels.
Why do these money grubbing idiots seem to want to destroy this god given paradise? Pure GREED for a FEW to get rich, this will not help the majority of people, but the majority will be the ones that suffer the consequences.
People are walking away from churches (with their wallets) and that scares them. It is all a feeble attempt to stay relevant, they're always bastardizing the authentic bible/recognized-religious text to suit their self-serving (fear laced) misogynistic, propaganda and puffery. Trying to convince people they are helping them!? Hogwash! It is an insult to our intelligence. It is obvious most of them are pathetic egomaniacs who not-so-secretly simply hate strong-willed women.
They need to get some humility and to go back to doing what true church leaders are supposed to do, and Help People. But I doubt they will, they only want the cars, cuff-links, self appointed 'Bishop' titles and adoration from the meek and lowly who worship them (& not God!). Just pay attention- What their mouth says, their actions will always give away their real agendas.

The Bahamas two biggest problems = 1. People not doing the job they are supposed to be and 2. lack of law enforcement and accountability.

(As they do) And I expect people don't really WANT to live in them either, but they do out of 'necessity' It's bloody expensive living here. Also, some of these 'shanty towns' are not that horrid to live in, they have these 'home made' communities in quickly developing nations worldwide and they are not always looked upon a a 'bad thing' they are viewed as a sign of growth and development. So, why not do something Radical, and just ""Compromise"" Now then... right....OK, that's a great new concept, lets simply compromise! Besides we don't live in a perfect world, and we have got to crawl before we can run. Why not just TRY and work 'with' the shanty town communities, make them safe and gradually help the people assimilate to a better way of life for All parties.
Most of the parking attendants are awful at BahaMar (particularly at the Convention Center) they clearly have no training or understanding of the word Service. (First impressions are lasting)
Over & over again online reviews about BahaMar say "This is a beautiful property. But the service is absolutely terrible."
The staff at the resort need to get there s*#t together, or they will ruin this nation, YES it is that serious. We are at a scary tipping point and this hotel Must succeed for the country to move forward!
The attitude toward guests depends on whether they think they will get a tip or not, and that's throughout the mindset of many of the younger staff in businesses all over the Bahamas. They act like Everything they do is a big Effort, its like you are disturbing them when you to try to get their attention.
The general level of customer service in the Bahamas is pathetic, but for some reason most Bahamians recoil when you say this. Instead we praise people (in public forums too?) for their substandard 'service' but really the praise is for just Doing Their Job! Yes, the thing they are already getting paid to do, the thing they're supposed to be doing?! Get you act together people!
And BTW, I Love the restaurants at BahaMar we are so lucky to have all these great new places to eat and the quality of the food is 5 star! Many of the staff in the restaurants and bars are excellent but too many of the staff are also bringing it down, for All Of Us!
