"Shanty towns must end" Well, no s^#t Sherlock! Example of a politician saying what he thinks people want to hear. (As they do) And I expect people don't really WANT to live in them either, but they do out of 'necessity' It's bloody expensive living here. Also, some of these 'shanty towns' are not that horrid to live in, they have these 'home made' communities in quickly developing nations worldwide and they are not always looked upon a a 'bad thing' they are viewed as a sign of growth and development. So, why not do something Radical, and just ""Compromise"" Now then... right....OK, that's a great new concept, lets simply compromise! Besides we don't live in a perfect world, and we have got to crawl before we can run. Why not just TRY and work 'with' the shanty town communities, make them safe and gradually help the people assimilate to a better way of life for All parties.
Most of the parking attendants are awful at BahaMar (particularly at the Convention Center) they clearly have no training or understanding of the word Service. (First impressions are lasting)
Over & over again online reviews about BahaMar say "This is a beautiful property. But the service is absolutely terrible."
The staff at the resort need to get there s*#t together, or they will ruin this nation, YES it is that serious. We are at a scary tipping point and this hotel Must succeed for the country to move forward!
The attitude toward guests depends on whether they think they will get a tip or not, and that's throughout the mindset of many of the younger staff in businesses all over the Bahamas. They act like Everything they do is a big Effort, its like you are disturbing them when you to try to get their attention.
The general level of customer service in the Bahamas is pathetic, but for some reason most Bahamians recoil when you say this. Instead we praise people (in public forums too?) for their substandard 'service' but really the praise is for just Doing Their Job! Yes, the thing they are already getting paid to do, the thing they're supposed to be doing?! Get you act together people!
And BTW, I Love the restaurants at BahaMar we are so lucky to have all these great new places to eat and the quality of the food is 5 star! Many of the staff in the restaurants and bars are excellent but too many of the staff are also bringing it down, for All Of Us!
It is as if they don't want any qualified oversea forensic 'experts' so.... ask yourself "Why"? Yep, it's the same answer that's held the government back = corruption and ego. That in turn holds us all back from progressing as a nation.
Deepest condolences to their families. He was just Eight, I can't fathom how they must feel. Their lives will never be the same.
I hope the deprived soul or souls that killed him are at least remorseful enough to surrender, change their ways, and try to repent by doing good deeds for the rest of their days, until their last breath.
