*First of all, we’d like to say many thanks to Rupert Roberts, whose Super Value stores have been a stalwart part of ensuring this nation’s cupboards are kept stocked up throughout the COVID-19 battle.*
Seriously? What favour did Mr. Roberts do with by this act? He was not giving that out free. He didn't do anything different from any other grocery store. People had to pay and full price at that,.
Pray tell me Cooper why Asues should be protected? You putting your money with someone with no guarantee and if other people don't put their pool you get left with nothing. This just as damaging as a Ponzi scheme, and there should be regulations for people with this Asue.
Best mover, take what you give to a monthly Asue and join a Credit Unions. Credit Union is the way to go. And they WAY better than con artist banks.
*"While the Government may have to, from time to time, impose restrictions on the domestic economy, it's important we carve out those operating in the tourism sector so that they can operate with some semblance of stability."*
I have two words for the Minister of Tourism. The first word begins with B and teh last word begins with S.
No way should Bahamians be discriminated against in their own country. That foolishness needs to STOP!!!
Who cares about what these lazy, good for nothing, parasitic union leaders have to say, who have done nothing to help the people they represent in giving back to them during this pandemic.
How many Ponzi schemes have been taken down in this country? Where is the Prime Minister term limits bill? Where is the fixed election date bill? Where is the Freedom of information act being put in place?
Parliament has always been ignored in our democracy. The Executive always runs the parliament and the Speaker has always been a puppet for whichever party is in power. Finally have a speaker willing to stand up and push for an independent Parliament. Figured the PLP would have been speaking up on this and also calling for an independent Parliament. But again, way would I expect that when they have been the ones leading the ways in abusing the Parliament for decades with puppet Speakers and most likely want to continue that trend..
The sad realty is that the government is in a no win situation. Don't let people in and no jobs. Let them in and you run the risk of people getting sick. The Bahamas doesn't produce anything so what do we expect?
