This honestly sounds like Davis was just rambling from pillar to post without knowing what he talking about. And then he criticised the government for cutting ministry of works budget and criticised the minister for talking about increase? Really? So wha the hell he wants. Besides, the minister ought to say in public what he wants. He represents the people, not some secret Cabinet dealings after all.
Spot on. It shows you who the real persons with heart are, and who the ones just opening their mouths for political brownie points are. You always hear Davis and his crew opposing, but never helping. They talk about what was done to the man, but have no heart to show up and help the man. Hypocrites, Jesus would call them.
You cannot fire the judges for doing their job. What I thin though would have been better that rather than fining the people for curfew violations, the judges should rather give them some community service. They would still have the consequence for breaking the law, but the punishment would be seem excessive in that way.
You have made a very salient point that has caused me to pause and think. We want some to resign who break the cover orders but we don't want it for others. Maybe it is because we are subbiminably playing a political game. You really left me with something to ponder.
Help me, as I appreciate good level dialogue. Do we have empirical evidence that the civil service spending is what is keeping this country going?
The Union leader in my estimation is making a statement with no fact, only for the purpose of trying to keep the bloated civil service. I am not one for pushing for laying off of people. However, I am one for pushing that the bloated civil service with people double dipping so often with retirement and consultant fee need to be dealt with. In fact, those one already on retirement and getting another salary form government can be let go right now. What is there worth? That is the original angle I was coming from.
The issue of people travelling to these islands by plane or boat as not being open is irrelevant, as the borders are closed. If the borders are closed, how are people then travel to these islands? The decision to open Andros was financial, which should be the same reason to open the others which no cases.
Every time I try to give the PM credit for something, he opens his mouth and speaks and causes me to wonder. this lockdown clearly jamming Minnis head. He need to lift it if only for him to start to think straight. As bad as he is though, will take him over Davis at any moment. And that tells you the predicament our country is in.
All the more for the story not to be in the paper. He made a decision long before he was not coming home. He had not planned to come and the border closed just beef his flight.
Any member who has a pastor that talks about opening up the church needs to run far from that pastor, as they clearly do not know the word of God. The church has never been closed. the building where the church meets is close, but the church is still opened. In fact most pastors who understand ministry will tell you that they now have more people in online services than they use to have when the building was opened.
This cry from this pastor about open the building so people can worship is very disingenuous. Any pastor who studies knows that you don't have to be in a building to worship God. If the pastor learns to really become a pastor to the people and the community during this time and go feed the hungry, and clothe the naked, all the other stuff would take care of itself.
Stop missing the point. I indicated the government did not close the borders with sufficient time. However, the article is referring to one particular situation. And trying to have the government pay it is nonsense, especially since the government was not responsible for you son staying at school. Separate the issues.
