These are the rantings of a wannabe Supreme Dictator. This is a democracy. Respect is earned, not required. The majority of Bahamians didn't even vote PLP and even the ones that did only voted for their MP. The PM is simply the leader of the party with the most seats. He has the same, one vote, in parliament as the rest of the MP's and is not a dictator who gets to make all the decisions. While his office holds some prestige, his actions dictate how much respect or criticism he is entitled to.
I'm not sure what the minister is so "encouraged" about. The two most important subjects, English and Math saw big drops. Our education system fails to graduate more than 35% of students. We need to get all of these results over a C. We see an E average for math and it's easy to see why so many Bahamians have trouble balancing their personal finances.
Our failure in education is what leads to unemployment, crime, poor family planning, and health problems. The single biggest thing we can do to improve this country is to pour all of the money we are wasting in the government, into education.
Unemployment is at record high's because many Bahamians do not posses the skills to work in even entry level positions. They are capable but have not received even a basic level of education.
We are failing the next generation if we allow this sort of failed education system to continue. The best way to escape the trap of poverty is to get an education, and the more educated and middle class people we have in this country the better we will all be for it.
Birdie, stop saying it's ok because someone else did it before. That does not make it ok. Don't be obtuse.
Her family has all the right in the world to do business. The issue is that she has a conflict of interest. That's not a problem either, but it does mean that she needs to recuse herself from the Bahamar dealings.
It's about time more Bahamian's realized they were swindled with a cookout and t-shirt. This government has stolen hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars. The money that would have helped to reboot our failed school, create jobs, bring financial support to those in need, provide health care. The Bahamian people suffer so that these so called leaders can line their pockets. Enough is enough. We could easily balance the budget, pay our debt and not even need VAT if the government just stopped wasting and stealing money.
She is a lawyer and the Attorney General for the country and she doesn't understand what a conflict of interest is. She doesn't grasp that it does not matter if she is 100% above board or not. The conflict of interest exists regardless of her actions. The conflict is the situation, not the outcome.
Forget about the shops her daughter owns then. There is an even bigger conflict of interest if her husband is the one who was handling these retail space contracts. This only gets worse.
No one needs to be blocked. You and I may not like or agree with Tal, but that is the basis of Free Speech. We can't be falling in line with Mitchell and Gibson's idea that we have to hold our tongues in this country.
Being Autistic does not mean you can't understand what's going on. There is a sliding scale of how autism affects you and everyone is affected differently. Many autistic people function very normally in society.

And it seems Tal has been coming back to her own after a PLP love in. What's happening with the Tribune comment section?
