You nailed it in the first paragraph, but the second, not so much. If the FNM needs to get off their self-righteous pedestal, don’t you think the PLP needs to get off theirs too? Hell yeah. Both political parties did alot of good and bad for this country but they still have issues.

From the UBP, to the old PLP, to the FNM, to the new PLP, and to all third parties, there were claims then and now and it will continue on every Election Day. The quest for political power is what makes true democracy sucks.

Educated, real Bahamians who were elect to office have always sold the Bahamian people out for self-interests.

This is a sad day for democracy worldwide. Our brothers and sisters living in countries like Cuba, Syria, Vietnam, China and North Korea only wish they have the right to elect their leaders, a voting right that many Bahamians take for granted and will sell if the price is right.

I listen to the words that came out of Perry Christie's mouth and I was completely stunned by his arrogant. He wanted the former Prime Minister seat so badly, he made a pack with the Devil. Once again, the Bahamian people will always to the biggest losers because Perry Christie only believes in himself.

To my fellow FNM’s, losing a seat on moral grounds is a victory over the PLP’s gaining a seat by unscrupulous means.

To be fair TalRussell, Ryan Pinder was not a Bahamian citizen while he was candidate for the Elizabeth by-election. Unlike Ryan Pinder, Grey Gomez is his own worst enemy and I am not defending his actions. Why these guys and gals run for public offices are what the electorate wants to know, I say it all about gaining wealth at the taxpayers expense. Until we have a system in place similar to the US for scrutinizing political candidates for offices, we will continue to have these embarrassing moments.

As an FNM supporter, my party and the PLP should be ashamed of themselves. This practice is outdated for the 21st century Bahamas. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it benefit the two major parties not the Bahamian people.

I do agree with you but despite how bad his interview was, I still think he will pull off a surprising victory. Keep in mind that most family islanders do not think like new providences.

pilgrimagerock says...

This cannot be the same new PLP that berated the former Prime Minister of North Abaco. Something is not right with this picture. Why can this new PLP take their message of Believing in Bahamians to South Andros or Centerville and do what Hubert Ingraham did his beloved contingency.

I did listen to his bad interview and since time heals all wounds, he will make a good politician.

Not knowing what school he taught at in the US is unbelievable. Grey Gomez will make a good politician because he doesn’t know much, he cannot tell the truth, nor give a straight answer and he is a child of God.
