i share your concerns and i would like to add that the Shirley Street post office where i go weekly is in a deplorable state with garbage piles shrewn all over the front lawn where you go up the steps to go inside. This has been the state for weeks and i have pointed it out to the workers inside. Their answers are always the gov this, the gov that ...but what about self pride. The staff there should put on gloves and do a five min trash pickup once a week. until they get a handy man. No harm to them.
i have said over and over. The second and third generation of the founders of the GBPA lack the foresight and Vision of their parents. Without vision the people will perish. so goes the city of freeport
I dont think short of cities in a war zone have a city economy shrunk and went down hill as fast and as badly as freeport has.....It begs me to ask the question ...Why has the city and people of Freeport been forsaken ??? .....from one issue to the next......when one thinks it cant get worse....it gets worser with this sunwing departture.....my god what is next ????
The BNT should make sure their are no stipulations in the agreement with Albany or bending of the fishing or conservation rules that are in the national park for the benefit of the elite folks from Albany of any where eylse for that matter. There are many international philantropic organizations around the world who would gladly partner with the BNT to help finance the upkeep of the many national parks in the Bahamas. All they require is an application of interest request. I can assure anyone reading this that Albany will be looking for something more than recreation as a return on their investment in the Exuma land and sea park.
Not paying back is a PLP allowed culture ingrained in its supporters over the years. It stretches from the small supporters to the sitting MP's. How in the world can you run a government or country like that.?
Atleast the FNM will not allow TCI to be bailed out by the Bank Of The Bahamas. Something that the PLP would have allowed for any of its MP's . TCI might as well close up shop and file for Bankruptcy.
All i ga say is ya backup the rich tree, ya back up the poor tree...Ya soon mash the wrong foot in this society.....Keep on backing up other people trees till ya back up the wrong one.
parents should encourage Young Bahamian mellennials to take advantage of this academy and learn a life long skill in the maritime feild. The discipline learned and scarifice required would last a life time that includes getting away from the Bahamas, ..seeing the world free, and learning financial discipline,
your are so right....thats how they go....Government reduced the duty on clothing in the last budget and retailer's are not passing any savings on to customers through reduced prices.
