There are far too many incidents such as this with fatal and/or egregious consequences.
Why did the officer draw his service firearm in the first place?
Is that the normal approach to a man in a "suspicious" car at 4am?
Why hasn't his family at least been able to view the recording?
Aren't body cams usually employed to protect police and the public they serve?
So far the RBPF haven't fulfilled their oath of office, and it appears their idea of a 'co-operative community' builds on fear rather than trust.

The Abaco numbers have never been correct as the MOH doesn't count any results from antigen tests.

On 818 new cases of COVID-19

Covid will never "be done" in a country in which 62% of the population has refused vaccination and are literally walking round as human petri dishes cooking up the next variant.
Sure Omicron seems less virulent- to the vaccinated, but to those with conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease? Think again.

rosiepi says...

There's actually only one lab in SK Canada that can do so. The majority in the US cannot either, and some states are barely sequencing above 2%

And none of those positive anti antigen tests are recorded, neat trick to keep the case numbers and deaths from Covid down!

The trouble with tourists (and long bemoaned) is as its ever been, they do not have any prolonged interaction with locals nor do they have any desire to do so. The majority are at least vaxx’d, this foolish poster and Bahamians who’d rather point to the beam in the another’s eye than take responsibility for their own lack.
As for mandates forcing mass firings, tisn’t so, the ranks of service workers at all levels is thinned now from Omicron and it’s going to get worse before better.
The huge increase in cases here is but the tip of the iceberg as the MOH refuses to add cases and deaths diagnosed w/o a PCR test. ,impossible for many.

How short are the memories of the foolish!
Five short mos ago the hospitals were so slammed with Covidiots who'd refused vaccinations that those in pain, needing care, needing life saving procedures were shut out.
Folks died, I'm sure everyone knows of some poor soul who couldn't get a bed.

Omicron, Delta whatever the variant if this country doesn't adequately count cases and deaths, ramp up testing and vaxxs, this winter will prove the grimmest yet.
Misinformation and ineptitude kills, have a care what y'all spew.

Well if it walks like a duck... you answered your own question but try to use your God given brain...
What would happen to the Bahamian economy based on tourism in the event of a major oil spill disaster for which there is no process, no equipment, no skilled workers for remediation?

The BNT was formed in the absence of any gov't entity protecting the habitats, the natural environment of these islands and their mission-and the funds to carry such out are limited
So this report should beg the questions, if it's this bad for animals, flora and fauna, why hasn't the gov't acted in 18 mos behalf of their citizens?
Or their environmental ministry, health ministry?
Their laissez faire attitude comes from just such wooden headed 'answers'.

Dr Sands knows the limitations of the use of antigen tests to diagnose Covid which is why most countries insist on PCR tests.
As well the Bahamas' reliance on rapid tests is disingenuous at best since the negative results are faulty and a positive diagnosis is dismissed (and not recorded) without the gold standard PCR tests.
Therefore residents here w/o the means/connections/or within proximity of a test center providing PCRs are SOL.
And the gov't cannot provide, nor do they seem to care to know the true measure of Covid cases and deaths.

So to save some 'overburdened' family of vacationers $$ we're willing to invite even more potential Covid variants here?? Are y'all nuts??

Bahamians would rather let their child relatives rot in the horrid conditions of so called "care homes" than allow them to be adopted by couples longing for a child because they'd have to acknowledge the child and their sorry predicament.
They indulge their vanity at the expense of a child's life but they're always at church.
If government is hypocritical it's because they represent a like minded country!
