The New Government, when they were on the campaign trail, shouted out loud and clear " the then government's lack of transparency and accountability" and consequently they were elected overwhelmingly with the mandate to correct the lack of Transparency and Accountability and eliminate corruption in the peoples bahamian government. Most people in the world associate pay increases with production, service and benefits. In five and a half months the Bahamian people have seen little to none of this criteria. Perhaps, the good PM should produce a report on each member of the Bahamian peoples government listing each of their combined total government income as elected members of Parliament all government appointments and any funds given to operate constituency offices, job responsibilities, expected accomplishments and a stated date and time to publicly report on their accomplishments to date.

Since Bank of Bahamas transferred all the Delinquent Dead Political Loans to Resolve Recovery, Reconstruction and Forgiving Corporation, and NIB does not have to fund them any longer, plenty money now in NIB that has to fund some sort of losing projects and maintain the Bahamas Government Financial reputation. Also, if I recall correctly VAT was to be implemented at 15 percent, but now only 71/2 percent and the Rating agencies and IMF have recommended Personal and Business Income Taxes, we going shopping. The Bahamas Government has a long track record in business Ownership and Management.

Since the New FNM Government members cannot be bribed with corrupt deals (yet) these enterprises voted down by the majority of the people are now through the use of the Media trying to convince the public that they are GOOD community members and avoid being shut down and replaced with a national lottery ( that all Bahamians can benefit from) by advertising that they are giving back 5 cents of each dollar wagered on their gambling machines back by way of temporary employment opportunities. People, stop. think of who are now the web shops consultants and top executives. Ever heard of Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival, the National plan etc, etc.

The only Bahamians advanced ( moved forward and upward to a better life) is himself, his family members, his Cabinet friends ( ministers give the presumption that something is expected to be accomplished) their family members, sweethearts, children out of wedlock and friends. Why goes the Bahamian Media keep going back to Disgraced Corrupt Politicians for news, there had to be a time when Bahamians take their deterring way of life serious and look to the future with solutions to make life better for all bahamians..

As someone who has been in the Mortgage Loan Underwriting (Front End) and the Mortgage loan Default management (Collections and loan mitigation ) the ( Back End) for many years, The Bahamas Mortgage Loan Industry need to establish a Bahamas Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice allowing only persons who have been Trained and Certified to produce a uniform Real Estate Property Appraisal based on the Appraisal Standard. No Drive by inspections or Realtor Property valuations. Appraisals should include at least 1 comp of sold property within last 6 months, 2 comps of sold properties within last 12 months and 1 property for sale with all comps within 1 mile of the subject property.

Remove the responsibility of 1 individual making the decision. Collection departments should have, 15 day late collectors, 30 days collectors, 60 days collectors and 90 days and Loan Mitigation collectors, so that at every late stage the file is being reviewed by a different person/collector..
