Roberts has a serious point. He had to compete against a US giant for decades.......... If BFS is sold to Sysco, what is there to stop Walmart or any other US giant from coming here??? ....... Bahamians have already invested in US fast food franchises and other services ............... what is there to stop more US commercia l& retail firms from operating here once we sign on to WTO???

The Police and the Lawyers generally come from different socio-economic backgrounds and mindsets ............ and we see the human and political effect everyday in our Government institutions vs the citizens.

Slap who?????? .......... How many of these kids really give a damn about how or where their daily personal OR education needs come from??? ......

Many go to school dressed to the nines - with no books, bags, texts or other basic tools to learn ...... but they sure have smartphones & weapons that are banned from normal public school classrooms. Go figger.

That description reflects most urban black Bahamians ..... dressed up, dumb and rude. What's new there?? .......... It's just that the spawn is getting worse.

There was a time when SC and CV were the gold standard public schools in Nassau ..... what is going on today????? ......... students attacking teachers, campus chaos, graffiti, bad PR????

Is this a symptom of the breakdown in out of control students/gangs, teacher classroom management, parental involvement, school admin effectiveness, no campus police, or poor DOE policies........ or all of the above????

Too much shuffling of personnel take place each year, thus breaking up good school admin teams as well. Maybe the Principal has too many plant & personnel challenges to cope.

Imagine if other Essential Services professionals would be recognized by their bosses in like manner ........ teachers, school administrators, nurses, doctors, clerical, etc. ....... even if it's only a certificate for outstanding service after X years toiling in the wilderness of the civil service jungle.
