Which Minister of Finance achieved a balanced budget (savings) in recent Bahamian history????
Deficit spending is due to poor planning, corruption and unforeseen fiscal downturns. The New Day fiscal handlers are bragging about huge tourist numbers, but the increased revenue is not showing up in the budget or felt on the street. Why???????
Birdie, I will bet you $100 that at least 75% of the ppl on those ILuck & Fox lines own a lil Jap car, an up to date cellphone and at least $1000 worth of the latest weave or shoes. But they claiming that they need food.
That is just the beggar's mentality. Too many Bahamians are culturally professional beggars & swindlers because they don't want to upgrade & work hard to do better in life. That is why they become hooked on gambling & swindling for a living.
The politicians and the numbers bosses have stripped away the last inch of self-respect and industry from at least 60% of Bahamians.
This wallowing in the mud for a $50 food coupon is proof positive of the sad reality of most poor urban Bahamians. The disease has also spread to the more resilient and industrious Family Islanders as well. So sad.
