Something is fishy about this story because Bahamian Citizenship is past from the father to his kids, in fact every time I travel back home I am urge to go get my kids Bahamian passport by Immigration and customs. Secondly, a Foreign-Bahamian can get a travel document which have nothing to do with the Jackson Memorial Hospital business unless that is some kind of provision to get free medical attention.

Do you think the Government have enough funding to deport all of them?
When you let a problem persist for so long, soon it will become to costly to fix. The Haitian ambassador shouldn't make a public comment in what to do in the Bahamas but the suggestion is the best alternative with upward of some 40,000 or so illegals in the country. You could imagine the amount of crime that will happened with 10,000-15,000 people running around because the government doesn't have the resources to gather up, contain, and feed them until the deportation process is finalize? It is easy to say blow the house up and start over but the truth is resources is needed to do it.

The truth of the matter is if you evict 10,000 or more people the crime rate is going to sky rocket, because the government don't have the resources to round up, and deport all of those people. If you round up that much people (which would be impossible) you would have to house them until the Haitian/any other country government process all of them and prove that they are who they say they are, as well as the Bahamian government have to do their process. Then the Bahamas will have to fit the bill to get them back to Haiti. The FNM government is either pandering or trying to distract people because they are to know that this is an impossible task to complete. So I would say the Haitian ambassador idea (lease the land) makes more sense in this situation and this is the same conclusion that I came too when I first read about this several weeks back, Bahamians might not like it but they are not thinking about the potential problems with crime. This problem went on for decades, you just can't solve it with one swoop, this is not any different than if you keep putting off small repairs to your car, eventually the problem is going to get bigger than your budget or the worth of the car.

Exactly, both parties hired people with no experience. Look at who the PLP hired in Freeport for Urban Renewal.

A Senator or Representative is a Job on it's own and none of them holds Government post in Departments, so they can vote their conscience without being fired, ask John McCain. Also, Any American can run for a seat in their state or as President, Ask Donald Trump. Now, some of them might be afraid of not being endorsed but not being fired.

I have an idea what you are saying, I also have an idea of your believe system, which is to don't rock the boat, with that thinking nothing will never change including this dumb system of Government which was build to oppress people. If you are so smart you wouldn't try and discourage someone for trying the system.
