Thats actually not a bad idea John, the the locals relocate to some where more practical with the government giving them Crown land to rebuild on and relocate the main Defense Force base from Coral Harbour to Ragged Island. If the Haitians and the Dominicans can still enter with impunity with the base located there we might as well close up shop.
Well Tal, we sure know why they shying away from the other Bahamian group who tendered, you know the one backed by Bahamas Waste, BHM Co. etc, to many mighty whiteys unda dat tent aye.
I couldn't agree with you more. My property suffered a considerable amount of damage in hurricane Mathew and during others previously. The Government has never even offered me four dollars never mind four thousand dollars to help with my clean up efforts and repairs. When will Bahamians get over their dependency on government for everything? Feed me, house me, gimme money, gimme a job where I ain gatta work, gimme school uniforms and free lunch, and now fix my house in time for it to be destroyed in the next hurricane to come this way. How do you define who's house you fix after a hurricane, or Ragged Island people more special or needy than people in Andros, Nassau or Grand Bahama? Setting a very dangerous precedent here if you ask me............
We missed the bus long time ago. Bahamians have been brainwashed into dependency on government for the last fifty years and we have developed into a nation of beggars and thieves as a result. In Pavlovian style we've been trained to believe there's such a thing as free lunch when in fact the dogs already ate it.
How is it that Sebastian Campbell can call himself a Nationalist and a proponent for National honours while honoring himself as an Honorary Consul of a foreign government? We have another term for people like the good Reverend and it isn't a Nationalist.
Foreign fishing vessels apprehended in Bahamian waters, no problem! Remove crew and catch then sink by gunfire, plenty new artificial reefs for new crawfish and grouper habitats. Heavily fine, deport or incarcerate crew, put proceeds from sale of catch back into national marine parks system for scientific research and conservation.
My people continue to amaze me, not one blog in favor of blaming the Haitians for all of our single parent fall out as they seem to be responsible for every other ill that plagues our country. The truth of the matter is we are merely now reaping what we have sowed for the last 45 years.
"So if Government values the hotel at $125 million, and the Wynn group have offered $70 million, why don't they split the difference and accept $100 million and call it Delia?"
And here I was all this time thinking that the Chinese owned the hotel. How then is the government able to dictate what the Chinese will or won't accept for the property?
Thank you for your holier than thou observations Pastor Moss, I have also in the past observed with interest yours and some of your holier colleagues position when it comes to the LGBT community at large and women's rights in this country as well. Timothy 2:11-12 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. Right up your alley.........................
