"Why are these Dominicans allowed to work on Bahamian fishing vessels?" Could it be that as in the construction industry where the work force is predominantly Haitian, the Dominicans dominate the fishing industry for the same reasons? In other words they are willing to work twice as hard and twice as long for half as much money.I bought some grouper last weekend from a well known Bahamian seafood wholesaler and low and behold three of the four staff were Haitians, go figure..................... If the Dominicans working on Bahamian registered fishing boats have legal status and will perform where Bahamians won't, whats the problem with that? After all the catch isn't landed and sold in the DR is it?
Porcupine, I am in full agreement with you but you will not over come the hatred Bahamians have for Haitians. We make such a fuss about racism all the time, look at the storm in the teacup over Sir Roland for the suggestion that a "white" person could be awarded National Honors, but black Bahamians don't see their hatred of Haitians as racism. Could some one please enlighten me as to the difference between anti antisemitism and anti Haitianism, just as the Nazi capitalized on Jewish slave labour Bahamians have exploited and marginalized the Haitians, even those here legally, for decades. When God was doling out ignorance he emptied the barrel in this country but forgot to add a little charity or even a drop of the milk of human kindness.

Additional training is always a good thing, but the installation of dashboard cameras in police cars and body cameras worn by officers, if properly monitored, would go a long way to eliminating rogue or revenge shootings by police and do away with a lot of the he say, you say, I say!
Another classic case of shoot the messenger. Why would Mr. Roberts lie about his employees having sex on the job, and how should he prevent his employees form doing so, lock the freezers and warehouses? These people are fortunate they weren't dismissed outright. The onus should not be on employers to provide compensation for adults freely engaging in unprotected consensual sex on or off the job and becoming pregnant as a result. Nor should employers be required to provide condoms or birth control. There does need to be more emphasis on sex education in the school system, God knows they don't get it at home unless they are the victim, but when Duane Sands suggested condoms in the schools combined with more education on life choices recently, he was ridiculed. Bottom line, Bahamians like to sex and they,re generally not to fussy about where or when nor are they overly concerned with birth control by either gender cause dey ain man or woman til dey done make bones!
You have allowed your obsession with Lockhart's dick and your own well known personal hard on for Minnis to further muddle your already muddled thought process. Interference in independent investigations by the Prime Ministers office has led us to where we are, bamsi, loi,pha the list is long............
You're showing the same level of intelligence that You Know who I is Lockhart has displayed recently. The responsibility for investigating this incident rests with the Ministry of Transport and the Port Authority and has absolutely nothing to do with Minnis.
Man, you got racism down in spades, pun intended, where do you think the Pindlings, Maynards, Wilsons , Finlaysons, Gibsons and the list goes on, get their money from if not from the exploitation of dem same inner city blackies and more than a few high and mighty whiteys. Gotta feel sorry for people like you, no life low life!
