Don't expect to get the truth about the killing of this young boy from cruel Davis's buddy, the teary-eyed incompetent Commissioner Fernander.

>Ryan Pinder said: “The Bill provides for the general authority of the Minister to declare certain persons rehabilitated."

Just how stupid does this dumb arse AG think we are?!

Most of us know full well that the Bill is intended to be a pressure release valve for dealing with the very serious over-crowding situation of inmates in our prison system.

Every time a criminal is incarcerated today, another criminal must be let out to make room for the new one. This has been going for decades now and our communities and streets have become flooded with criminals, many of whom were made 'hardened' to violence while incarcerated.

The Bill is likely unconstitutional as it seems to be an all out affront on the separation of powers doctrine that provides the foundation for our Westminster parliamentary system of government. No cabinet minister should ever be granted the power to usurp the functions of the judicial branch of our government.

The selection of **Rothschild & Co** is most disappointing as it likely means the two principals of **AF Holdings**, namely **Emanuel Alexiou** and **Anthony Ferguson**, are also somehow very much 'in the mix' with **James Smith**. **AF Holdings** and its principals own and/or control the **CFAL** financial services group, the **Colina** insurance group and **The Nassau Guardian.**

Word on the street has it that **PM Davis** (who is also minister of finance) is placing way too much reliance on advice and recommendations being received from **Anthony Ferguson** and **James Smith**, possibly including the selection of **Rothschild & Co**. In fact, this reliance is so much so that others within the ministry of finance, like **Michael Halkitis** and **Simon Wilson**, appear to have been emasculated by **Anthony Ferguson**, **James Smith** and **Emanuel Alexiou**.

In early 2017 **AF Holdings** announced that **Ansbacher (Bahamas)** had completed its acquisition of the book of business of **Rothschild (Bahamas)** from **Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse) SA.** Apparently, **The Rothschild Family** thought it best to bail out of The Bahamas to focus their activities on more profitable markets.

**Anthony Ferguson**, then executive vice chairman of **Ansbacher (Bahamas)**, said: “We are pleased to conclude the purchase of this highly respected and internationally diversified wealth management company. The acquisition of **Rothschild (Bahamas)** is an excellent strategic fit that will significantly expand our reach and capabilities in some important lines of business. We believe that our prudent wealth management strategies, combined with the large distribution network of **Rothschild (Bahamas)**, will allow us to help more people manage their wealth securely for generations to come. Over the coming months, we will drive forward the integration to maximise the benefits for our clients, employees and shareholders.”

And then in January 2022 (only a mere five years later), **AF Holdings** announced the sale of **Ansbacher (Bahamas)** to **Deltec Bank & Trust**. At the time, **Andrew Alexiou**, the son of **Emanuel Alexiou** and managing director of **Ansbacher (Bahamas)**, said in a press statement: “**AF Holdings** has taken the strategic decision to divest its interest in **Ansbacher (Bahamas)** in order to focus on other investments and business interests in The Bahamas.” Talk about an about face from five years earlier!

**PM Davis** had better tread carefully here as there are likely to be relationships he thinks he understands but in fact may know little if anything about. Besides, many Bahamians are just not comfortable with the extent to which **PM Davis** is allowing **Anthony Ferguson** and **James Smith** to ingratiate themselves into perhaps the most important and pressing matters currently within his portfolios as PM and minister of finance.

Christina Rolle is obviously much too easily misguided by all the usual FinTech talking heads. She would be doing the taxpayers a favour if she left the Securities Commission for a job with one of the FinTech talking heads. That would at least be putting her career (pay cheque) where her mouth is.

> Philip Davis QC, the Prime Minister, has indicated that the Government is moving to do exactly that by confirming it is in initial talks with FTX Digital Markets, the Bahamas-domiciled crypto currency exchange, to develop a mechanism for the listing and trading of the country’s blue carbon credits.

Talk about stupidity! LMAO

> Mr Bowe said: "......as my grandmother would say, you may be ignorant but don’t open your mouth and prove it to the world.”

Mr Bowe should have heeded his grandmother's advice when it comes to the subject of The Bahamas ever being able to monetize any kind of carbon credit wealth.

A guppy nation like ours should resist all enticing invitations to swim in a corrupt carbon credit fish bowl loaded with hungry piranhas.

The headline to this news story is laughable to say the least when you consider successive PLP and FNM governments alike have betrayed the Bahamian people over many decades by allowing our small nation to succumb to what has grown to be a very large and unsustainable invasionary force of illegal Haitian nationals.

And here we have Cruel Davis now effectively saying, with a straight face, that our political ruling class were simply doing as they were told to do by foreign interests with no regard whatsoever to the existential threat posed to our small nation's economy and national security by such an overwhelming invading force of illegal Haitian nationals.

It is generally well known that Cruel Davis, Fwreddy Boy Mitchell, and many others like them, are well-entrenched among the treacherous political ruling class who have steadfastly refused over many years to do anything meaningful to prevent the continued invasion of our small nation by overwhelming numbers of illegal Haitian nationals.

These corrupt and incompetent bone heads sold out our enviable Bahamian culture, higher standard of living and much better way that so many of us over the age of 55 fondly remember.

Even the illegal Haitian nationals in our country know better than to allow their young children to be vaccinated with these experimental vaccines that are being pushed by malevolent and profiteering evil doers.

tribanon says...

Once again: This entire incident will be swept under the rug as has been done for so many other human trafficking incidents involving lost lives in our territorial waters due to the merciless organized smugglers who value the profits from their illegal profiteering activities over all else, including human life.

This news story is nothing but an absurdity of misinformation for the benefit of the very greedy Franky Wilson a/k/a Snake. One has to wonder if Malcolm Strachan, like Rhianna Neely-Murphy, is a good friend of Snake.

Just stop and think about it for a moment.

Just about every day we have some of the world's largest tankers and cruise ships plying through our territorial waters loaded with environmentally toxic oil, gas and other dangerous contaminants. And representatives of our cruel Davis led corrupt PLP government would have us all believe our small nation can only impose insignificant penalties whenever these vessels are found to have caused a serious environmental disaster. That's patently untrue and ridiculous to say the least!

Not too long ago the State of Florida was able to collect many millions of dollars in fines and penalties from Carnival cruise lines for their recalcitrant conduct in not preventing the dumping of tons of toxic bilge contaminants and raw shiit that polluted the coastal areas of Florida frequented by many tourists and Floridians alike.

**Our nation already has legislation and regulations that allow our government to impose very hefty fines and penalties commensurate with not only the environmental damage done but also the egregious nature and severity of the violations of existing laws and regulations which undoubtedly would have greatly contributed to the disaster in the first place.**

**In other words, there is no need at all for our government to instigate or initiate a court proceeding to do what it is already fully empowered to do under existing laws and regulations. And the very hefty penalties and fines certainly do appear to be warranted in this case given what has already come to light about the egregious nature and severity of the violations of existing laws and regulations which undoubtedly greatly contributed to this major environmental disaster. For starters, it appears Shell/FOCOL/Sun Oil, as the contractor of the MT Arabian, failed to verify the vessel was properly registered and had adequate and/or valid insurance coverage for the contracted oil delivery. And that's just for starters!**

Is cruel and corrupt Davis planning to let the FOCOL/Sun Oil enterprises controlled by his good buddy Sir Snake off the hook? Are the Bahamian people to be once again short-changed because the very greedy Snake has been a well-known financial backer of the PLP political ruling class for many years?

The many disgruntled members of our civil workforce who are constantly being told by cruel Davis and his corrupt cabinet members that they must go without because there is no money in the public treasury certainly have a fundamental right to know the answers to these and many other such questions.
