Yes, but Sweden also has a better healthcare system. Also, they actually provide a good education for their citizens. So, if PMH doesn't equal what they have, we have an issue. If you're dealing with people who.don't understand how to act during this pandemic, you have a problem.

When taking risks based on the actions of another country we have to ensure we are similar in our makeup.

He's an intelligent guy. We can all agree. Is he ready to lead? I would prefer to see him in a deputy role just to see how he plans out before giving him a PM post. I would like to see what vision he has for this country. Thinking through things is good. But building a nation is a major step.

There is some design here. I can allow for that. But, if you look.at what they do, all of it that is, they are incompetent. They're not the brightest.

Playing or appearing dumb while in the midst of corruption is one thing, displaying a lack of understanding of basic leadership skills is another. Listen to some of these guys when they present ideas, they're lost. That is not an act. Think of it from this perspective, if your intent is to steal, if you grow the economy you can steal more, right?

The young guy us inexperienced. So, he probably doesn't know any better. But, the senior guys should teach him. As long as it's not D'Aguilar. I'm still cringing from that CNN interview he did. I had no idea how intellectually challenged D'Aguilar was until I saw that interview. I was embarrassed to be a Bahamian.

Mmmm...did the Tribune check for details from people familiar with Dr. Brennen. It could be fake information on social media as well as there could be an issue.

Let's think for a moment, the PM appoints Mr. Wells as Mijister of Health. I can't say that this could be at the heart of why someone like Dr. Brennen may quit, but let us think for a moment the impact of putting someone in charge who may not know the field. If that person wants to make decisions and don't understand and don't listen, you have a serious problem. I can't say that is what's going on, but it's possible. I hope the Tribune one day can start getting into the business of journalism.

I agree with "ThisisOurs" that the reporter should have pressed for better clarity on the numbers to clearly understand "most" and "some". I'm a little annoyed that these articles are written as "he said" or "she said". Can we get the Tribune and the Nassau Guardian to actually ask questions to dig into the matter. This is basic journalism. These articles read like the reporter simply involved in dictation. A few sides say something and the reporter writes.

We need journalism with a spine and teeth. Does anyone edit anymore? I constantly see spelling and grammatical errors in articles both in the papers and online. Geezer people!

On the content of the article, clearly there are issues. Helena Keller can see and hear what's going on in the party. It appears that some folks are in the PM's inner circle and some are not. We can see for example there is rift between him and the DPM. If anyone recalls the matter of the increase granted to one union for their members by the PM which the DPM later came back in the media to say they could not pay the increase. Clearly a disconnect between the two and clearly the DPM felt a need to air out his disagreement in the media as opposed to behind closed doors in a meeting with the PM. We also see the Financial Secretary being extremely visible in the media. It doesn't appear that he answers to the Minister of Finance (DPM). Looks like he is a part of the PM's inner circle. There's a dictatorship running here that is growing. We, the people, need to speak up.

Typo above, do to improve the lives (not thieves)

trueBahamian says...

Ok Mr. Mitchell, please come off this soap box. Is this the same PLP that did nothing to move this country forward?

What did you or any minister in the PLP during their time in office do to improve thieves or the poor and working class. The FNM and PLP have both participated in the further destruction of this country. You can make your political points all you want, you sir are as much a part of the country's problem as anyone else you point a finger at.

I agree there should be a vote of no confidence in the PM. But to be fair, a lot of people don't have confidence in every one of you. Please resign as Chairman. Bring in someone who can actually.do the people's work.
