Minnis screwed up. And - is it a fact that his son is administering the rtPCR tests in Eleuthera? That would be a questionable convenience contra to any reasonable dealings - seeing that the costs of these are twice or more the price in New Providence, The work that needs to be done on peoples' properties that require their owners to be back and forth travellers must be done before rainy season. Halting that because of inability to pay these horrendous fees - costs should be covered by Minnis himself - not the treasury..

Forget this slavery on everything garbage - it is just a catch all to cast blame and inflame division in people today who never were and those who never did.

As is in the intelligently planned Latin countries. Only boating institutions are allowed to erect an edifice on the beach side of the road which leaves access to views of the water and physical access to the beaches and water available without hindrance.

We should definitely not throw out the Queen with the bath water. Her attachment to us is beneficial in so many ways.

We can highlight Bay Street east if East Street to show what a frightening mess has been allowed to happen that is a huge negative for visitors to see and photograph and share.

A rapid antigen test should be all that is needed. The costs with rtPCR tests being necessary is far too high. These days getting home is unaffordable.

Who is he kidding? Nassau of the 1950's 1960' and early 1970's was an amazing and exciting place - today it is a dreary single market t-shirt and souvenir oriented rip off destination. This is due to both the quality of cruise ship tourists and the fault of governments allowing the cruise ship companies to take complete advantage by giving them concessions which they greedily gobble up. They are the competition and our downfall. To get back to where we once were the cruise ships must be made to shut don their shops, restaurants, bars, entertainment facilities and lying cruise directors. Private islands and in house entertainment facilities which are promoted over and above those possibilities offered at destination ports must be shut down completely and qualified competent ministry of tourism booths manned by persons not swayed by monetary enticements of the cruise companies put in prominent paces on each ship so that more truthful offerings available can be highlighted to the passengers. These positions must be rotated so that no one becomes too comfortable with the position and swayed by the cruise companies personal enticements. The straw market should become a straw market again and knock off bags and Cuban carvings banned entirely. Police must disallow hair braiders, hustlers, hookers and hawkers from destroying what could be an enjoyable excursion for cruise ship passengers. They are a large reason why people do not get off the ship while in port. The Light house area must be given to Toby Smith who has pride in our history and surroundings and the idea of giving it to the dominion of a foreign cruise company is astoundingly ludicrous. They have too much power already, and that must be politely taken back from them. Young persons today never knew and are not able to compare and appreciate the vibrant and particularly interesting destination that we once were. They do not have Bahama Pride, only personal greed and their best memories of what was in their own minds is the rot and greed instilled by both post independence governments and the attitudes instilled by the cruise companies. Many want to become knock off americans. The attractiveness that cruise to a different destination is the stepping into different cultures and experiences. We must stop completely the United States horrible spelling and confusing date presentations of Month/Day/Year and stick with the internationally accepted sequential system of Day/Month/Year. There is much to learn from our past and we need the drive to understand and embrace our unique and powerful difference to that of the U.S. Now is the time to start.
