Alt 2. No one shared test results with community leaders.
Alt 3. As you suggested a Rastafarian diet and lifestyle has resulted in average lower BMI within the community which has limited the incidence of severe covid that would require hospitalisation or resulted in death.
Exposing my ignorance - I don't think I knew there was a semi organised Rastafarian community in The Bahamas - applaud the Tribune for sharing their position even if it is against the narrative of the medical community. Without difference there is only darkness; alternative perspectives shed light...
Just sad...gov constantly playing catch up...vaccine escape was gonna happen..there is going To be seasonal spikes, we and other countries have gotten over these without masks and without vaccines. There is no solution to COVID so the only thing that makes sense is to focus vaccine efforts on those that are elderly and those that are immune compromised, acknowledge therapeutics and let the rest of society get on with it.
Also you seem to confusing me with somebody that doesn't do their homework. My post is referencing deaths associated with the Delta Variant not all covid deaths. The data I am citing also specifically excludes tests that are administered on the admittance so as to correct for 'of' versus 'with' covid hospitalisation rates...Hopefully I m not confusing you with some that is too arrogant to admit when they are wrong...
FYI - I'm vaxxed and have had covid - I purely believe that people of rights to do what they want but I think that we are facing Neo-(medical)-colonisation in the form of medical authoritative force that has thrived in the absence of data (or too much data and lack of context) and panic.
Tommy you do know how the Calandar works right? Your post is from July first - google search Technical Briefing 19 which should bring you to the latest report but this link is working for me perfectly (also the tribune when quoting links tends to post several so you need to click on the one to the right to connect through:
The data in this report is clear: Of 121k unvaccinated cases 165 died, of 61k vaccinated and partially vaccinated cases 284 died. Of the over 50 cohort made up 273 of those vaccinated deaths and 131 of the deaths were unvaccinated. These reflect deaths since the delta wave between February and up to July 23 and a new report is imminent.
This is the current facts. July 1st was very different.
Wow bobby you're actually worried about people backing up what they say? Particularly on the topic on COVID... I see so you like your information unsourced and condensed - got it. Glad that you're keeping track what I post and where...I'm flattered...blushing even.. But I thought you were more concerned about the Beetles?
Except we now know that being vaccinated makes no difference to the capacity of the vaccinated to not spread the virus. So b) is now mute. and a) seems to wane with protection dropping significantly over several 3 -6 months..
Soo...while sampling rates are skewed by the nature of either more or less people being vaccinated in a particular population, but that unfortunately doesn't get around the fact that the Case fatality/hospitalisation rates in the vaccinated and unvaccinated delta cases (in the uk) are essentially the same (slightly higher for partially and fully vaccinated over 50), (and slightly higher for unvaccinated CHR under 50) (CFR is basically zero for those under 50 vaccinated or not). The information that is missing is what percentage in vaccinated population may have had COVID previously and therefore a potentially mounted a more repost immune response. Also missing is the underlying conditions that of over 50 cohort.
All this distracts from the underlying point which is that media and governments touted an end to the pandemic if we all just get our shots. The media proclaimed:
"It's a pandemic of the Unvaccinated" - you know who!
"Dramatically lower COVID-19 disease incidence rates observed in individuals fully vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine"

Hi Bobby how are the beetles?

But this isn't lining up with reality.. though there is good news, vaccines do provide some protection for vaccinated (maybe 70-150 days)...
