Government needs to cut spending and stop their plans of ramping up spending over the next 3 fiscal years as they have projected. Their budget deficits will sit above $450mil for 2 years at this rate. By the time their term ends they would have increased the national debt by some $2.5bil

Sad reality is that we've had an energy crisis for 30 years. When it comes to power generation, we are a failed state. That Frank fella that was found guilty in the BEC bribery case should have faced a harsher sentence and been made to serve it. Regardless of health. The is a disgrace.

The black on our flag is not for the strength of the people, but the darkness you experience when living here. Truly pathetic.

Anyone remember when the Christie administration did this after the government's own auditors told them urban renewal was basically a Ponzi scheme?

If the PM can blow $200mil to buy, renovate and operate the Grand Lucayan then by hell or high water they better pay our RNs!

They are the backbone and lifeblood of our healthcare system, pay them and pay them well so they stop leaving. That way when Nurses graduate from UB they stay in the Bahamas so we no longer NEED to import filipino nurses! Stop playing games Minnis... This isn't a joke, nor is this a game.

Pay them

This whole issue came about because these jackwagons decided out of the blue to abruptly increase taxes with no proper consultation and extraordinarily poor planning.

Bravo, just when ya thought we couldn’t be anymore incompetent.

If you do the numbers you'd realize that a 100%-!50% increase does not equate to the agreed upon split. Stop playing games and give a specific headcount as to how many Bahamians are employed vs how many Chinese are.

If there were 10 Bahamians there and you increase by 150%.... I smell BS.

not 100% accurate on the contractor part. The BCA wants some authority to regulate aswell and government isn't seemingly open to the idea. They know government sucks at regulating, which is why they wanted to certify through BCA programs.

The crazy thing is that flying in The Bahamas is diverse in terms of weather as it changes rapidly.
Unless he's like Bahamas air and flying around clouds or storms, it's impossible to try to avoid those conditions in this airspace forever.

Call it like it is, he was incompetent and put people's lives at risk constantly to make a quick buck. Unfortunately this time didn't work out and people lost their lives unfortunately.
