Somebody made this comment about the Bahamas on social media. Any progressive ideas take years to be implemented in the Bahamas.This is just a next example of that,
That scam was going on for years.The media needs to find out who ordered the audit,the recommendations and subsequent actions.The media needs to step their game up,investigate and stop simply printing what is given to them.
They are doing a great work on this island with limited resources.Responsible pet ownership has to be literally taught in this country. I will never forget the first time I visited my sister in the US.There were virtually no stray animals on the road.When she told me the penalties for letting your animal stray,I was quite shocked.Could not believe how they seriously, they took the problem of stray animals.
This is just nit picking.He heads a ministry which requires a bit of travelling. Tourism tradeshows and conferences.This is now an issue because it was used as an issue against the old PLP government.The same tactics used then is now being applied against this government.
Waste management on this relatively small island is a joke.A co-worker of mine said that Grand Cayman put the island of New Providence to shame in terms of cleanliness. Garbage is not collected in a timely,sustained fashion. Nor is there a proper system for its disposal. But hey this is the Bahamas.
The JCNP should have reduced their ticket prices for the New Years parade.They should use several outlets to sell tickets also beside the one on Frederick Street.The parade has to be better managed.Personally I like to see Junkanoo at night.The costumes,pieces.the drums,cowbells and horns.That is a sight to behold.There is nothing like that in the world.A lot of people go to Junkanoo and watch it from Shirley Street.Some people can not afford the tickets or don't want to pay to watch Junkanoo.
Mrs.Wilson will go quiet when Dr.Minnis gives her the position he promise to appoint her to.Education in the Bahamas is in need of a complete overhaul.
