@Well_mudda..... you may just be right. I had to laugh at the way you said it, but you know, it really isn't funny!

Wow, what a tragedy! Sorry that he died but goodness, he was really violent. Like the police in Nassau love to say every time someone is killed by them : "***officers acting in fear of their lives, discharged their weapon***"; well in this case, ***officers acting in fear of their lives*** ***discharged****** their taser***. Unbelievable that his family will get money from this. Clearly the young man is at fault. Can't blame the officers for trying to subdue him and protect themselves! Happy that there were cameras because this story probably would have taken another turn......police brutality.

........ "Somewhere, Fitzgerald is smiling now. Lloyd is making him look good." I think I may have to agree with this statement. Mr. Fitzgerald was focused on achieving the plan that he laid out for the Ministry of Education. He and the former Director had no time to entertain Belinda's nonsense.

Mr. Lloyd would do himself a favor if he took a page out of Fitzgerald's play book. Unfortunately, however, he didn't want anything to do with the former Minister's plan. Belinda will continue to embarrass him and make him look like a fool.

so true! we stink at customer service... that's why I get so frustrated with these unions. They make so many demands, which in some cases are warranted but at the other end of the scale, the service and professionalism of its members are sub par.

geostorm says...

@DDK, the saga continues. As long as they have Belinda Wilson at the helm of the Union, nothing will ever make sense!

@Greentea, I agree. I think metal detectors and body scans would be a better method for detecting contraband etc. Only if someone is shown to have something should they be subjected to additional search. That is more than appropriate.

..........meanwhile, many students are still under performing and lack the basic skills needed to succeed in the real world..........sighs!

The Prime Minister, if he gave permission for the strike vote was wrong to go against his labour ministry. This woman can not be trusted, now she feels empowered to make all of these unnecessary demands.

I am sure everyone agrees that the teachers deserve better conditions, but what government building is not dilapidated and moldy? Who is she to challenge a certified analyst who has already indicated that the mold is minimal to none after the cleaning? It's sickening the way they waste so much time while these children continue to fail.

Unions in the Bahamas are ridiculous, unreasonable and a waste of time!
