You are what's wrong with this country. You think this is a poor woman being harassed and not a danger to society. Maybe when the bullet goes through you or one of your loved ones you will change your tune.
You comment makes no sense. What does that have to do with financial disclosure? Nobody is trying to hide the fact that much of the national park land is crown land (which is still crown land and still owned by the government).
Always with the same tired arguments. Why would they pay more for a foreigner to come in and do the job when there are Bahamians available? The answer is simple, 'qualified' Bahamians are not available. If they were they would get hired. This should be a wake up call that we need to better educate and train our population. We are woefully unaware of just how unqualified we are as a nation.
Why is it so hard to take some responsibility. So many excuses, always another excuse for why someone didn't do their job. It's like a disease in this country, everyone's got the 'excuses'.
What are you talking about? Companies are trying to make money, why would they pay a higher rate to bring in a foreigner and then pay for their work permit, which can be 10's of thousands of dollars a year if they could hire a local Bahamian? They only bring in foreigners when they have a need they can't meet here, because it costs a lot of money to do so.
It's not quite that simple. Lighthouse Point is privately owned piece of land, the government can't just take it and make a park. That being said, I am very opposed to it becoming a cruise port for Disney.
